The Combaticons were a group of military vehicles who formed the Gestalt Bruticus. The creation of the Combaticons marked the third gestalt in the Decepticon ranks, along side Devastator and Menasor. Bruticus's chief nemesis in the Autobot ranks was the Protectobot Gestalt Defensor. |

In the cartoon, Starscream originally built the Combaticons after Megatron booted his ass from the Decepticon Ranks. He ended up on a deserted island, where he found some old WW II military vehicles turning them into the Combaticons. They were to be his own private army. Forming Bruticus, the Combaticons attacked Megatron's forces, bitch-slapping Devastator down, before being stopped by Menasor. Later, after being banished by Megatron along with Starscream to an asteroid, the Combaticons wound up on Cybertron and started running wild, out of control. Combining forces with Optimus Prime and Megatron, Starscream pointed out Bruticus's weak points and stopped his reign of terror. Megatron later took control over the Combaticons and they became a deadly weopon in the Decepticon arsenal. |
| The toy version of the Combaticons/Bruticus, is very cool. As a Gestalt, Bruticus is very well put together, and is very sturdy. He is fairly true to his cartoon version (unlike Menasor). He is middle-of-the-road as far as height goes in comparison with the other Gestalts; while he is shorter than Superion, he is taller than Menasor. In my opinion, Bruticus suffers from none of the awkwardness that a couple of the other Gestalts are victims of. Bruticus carries Onslaught's rifle for a weopon. Overall grade of B+. |
