Blades is a pretty decent Transformer. Once again, there is not too much to go on in the way of character development, but from his small appearances in the cartoon, he seemed like a cool Autobot. |

Blades didn't have a large role in the cartoon, but what we saw seemed to confirm what his tech spec says: He is a hot-headed thug (but in a good way ! ). Once in the cartoon, Galvatron trashed Blades and put him out of commission for a while, thus preventing the other Protectobots from forming Defensor. It was Blades who lowered First Aid into Metroplex in order to allow him to repair Metroplex's Transformation cog. Blades typically just acted as air support for the rest of the Protectobots and other Autobots. |
| Blades is, without a doubt, the coolest of the smaller Protectobots. In helicopter mode, he come equipped with twin cannons that mount just above his skids, giving him an "assault chopper" kind of look. Once transformed, Blades looks less cool, but still pretty nice. He suffers from the common Transformer affliction of "unclear appendages", but it is only a mild case ; ) . Blades comes armed with a pistol. Overall grade of B+. |
